How to Receive Location Updates From a Friend Using Find My

How to Receive Location Updates From a Friend Using Find My

In iOS 13 and iPadOS, the Find My app replaces the Find My Friends and the Find My iPhone apps of old and brings their features together in a unified interface that allows you to find whatever it is you need.

For example, like Find My Friends, the Find My app lets friends share their location with you and vice versa. If your friend allows it, it also lets you receive notifications whenever they leave or arrive at a location.

Getting location updates can be particularly useful if you're trying to coordinate a meet-up, or if you'd just like to know when your other half is returning home from work so that you can start preparing dinner. Keep reading to learn how to enable the feature in the Find My app.

Launch the Find My app on your iPhone or iPad.

Select the People tab.

Tap the friend that you want to receive location updates from.

Drag the person's card up over the map to reveal all the options.

Tap Add... under Notifications.

Select Notify Me in the pop-up menu.

If you ever want to turn off location updates from a friend, simply return to the Notifications section of the person's card and you'll see an option to disable them.

Note that you can choose to receive location updates from everyone in your friends list, or only from people with whom you share your own location.

To choose between these two options, switch to the Me tab, drag the Me card up over the map to reveal all your options, then tap Receive Location Updates and select either People You Share With or Everyone. Also Read:Music maker app for android

How to Send and Receive Apple Pay Cash via Message in iOS 12

If you take a look at the iOS 11 preview on the Apple Website, you will be amazed by the many new features iOS 11 is set to bring to your iOS device. From augmented reality apps to new Apple music features and a new customizable Control Center, Apple is not kidding when they say, it will completely change the way you use your iPhone and make the iPad more capable.
Yet one of the most useful, not to mention one of the coolest features of the new iOS 11 is the Peer to Peer money transfer feature that can be affected rights on the Messaging app. This means that you send cash or buy something instantly from the Message app using Apple Pay. If you’re wondering how it works, the following is a guide to help you use the feature when iOS 11 becomes public in September.

Fix iCloud Notes Not Syncing 2019

1. Basic Troubleshooting Methods
01 Your device is storing your notes locally

It is possible that your device is storing your notes locally, and not uploading them to iCloud. Go to settings > Notes > Default Account. And check if you choose "On My iPhone" or "iCloud" option. If "On My iPhone" is enabled, that means all the noted created on your iPhone will only stay on your iPhone. Notes in your iCloud will not be downloaded to your phone either. If you want to be able to send out and receive notes using iCloud, choose "iCloud" simply. Once you do that, your device will sync with iCloud.

02 Your devices have different iOS versions

For example, if the iOS on your phone is updated to iOS 11 and the one on your Mac isn't the latest, there could be inconsistencies with how they view your notes because for your Mac, there might be some features it won't be able to recognize. It is important that all your iOS versions are always up to date. Most of the time, your phone sends you notifications or updates about this. If you somehow miss them, you can check once in a while by yourself. To do this, go to Settings and click on General then Software Updates. It there is a new iOS version, it will be shown there and you can update from there. For your Mac, go to the Mac App Store and check the Updates tab.

03 You are not signed into your iCloud account on all your devices

This may seem silly but you might not be signed into your iCloud account on one of your devices. Using the same Apple ID doesn't mean your phone automatically connects to your iCloud. This is very possible especially if you set up your phone using iTunes not iCloud backup. Check to be sure you are signed into your iCloud account.

To check using your phone, go to Settings and tap on iCloud. To check using a Mac, go to System Preferences and click on iCloud. If you are not logged in, put in the required details and set up your iCloud on your device.

04 Notes syncing may be turned off on your iCloud

The problem could be from your iCloud account itself. If note syncing is turned off on your iCloud, there is no way any note saved on your devices will be sent to iCloud. To turn this feature off, go to Settings and click on iCloud. Scroll down to the Notes option. If it is turned off, tap the toggle to turn it on. The syncing process usually takes a while so remember to go back to be sure it synced successfully.

2. Force Restart Your Device

If you have checked and none of the situations presented above is the problem, try forcing restart your devices to get rid of this problem. To do this, simply hold down the power button and home button until you see the Power Off slide. Go ahead and swipe it to the right. Once they are turned off, you can go ahead and turn them back on.

3. Sign out of iCloud on All Your Devices

If that doesn't work, try signing out of iCloud on all your devices, then signing back in. To do this, simply go to Settings, click on iCloud and you will see the Sign Out option.

For your Mac, go to System Preference, click on iCloud and select the Sign Out option.

At least one of the solutions above should work for you. If none does, try contacting Apple Support so they can help you identify the problem and fix it.

How to Know If Someone Has Blocked You on Skype 2019

1 Check the Status of Contact Icon

Go to Skype on your iPhone and log in. Open your contact list and locate the icon beside the person who you think has blocked you. If the icon turns to a gray question mark from the gray "x" icon or green check mark, then the person doesn’t share his/her information with you. And this is s strong sign that you have been blocked.

2 Start a New Window to the Person

Start a new chat window and send a message to the person you think has blocked you. If you cannot be able to see any conversations between you and him/her and the message is returned as undeliverable or is shown as processing indefinitely, then unfortunately you've been blocked by the person.
Jihosoft Android Data Recovery: the best Android Data Recovery software for Windows and Mac to recover deleted contacts, messages, photos, videos, WhatsApp and etc from Android devices.Tips:How to transfer messages from iPhone to iPhone

3 Check the Person's Profile Picture

If you cannot see the personalized profile picture of the person who may block you, but what you can see is the default "Skype" avatar – well, the person stops sharing personal information with you and it is very likely that you have been blocked.

4 Observe the Status of Your Friend

You can observe your friend’s status and see whether there is any abnormity and then judge whether he/she blocked you. A sudden change in your frequency of communication with your friend, a recent argument or fallout, you just haven’t hear from the friend…These are all bad signs. Just combine these signs and with other tips in Skype, you can easily and clearly decide whether you friend has blocked you.

5 Send a Voicemail to Your Friend

Before operate, just confirm you have Skype voicemail. And go to your contact list and find the one you doubt. Right click the contact name and choose "Send Voicemail" and try to send to him/her. If it fails to send, then you have been blocked by that contact.

6 Check the Profile Picture and Contact Number

You cannot see the profile picture and the number of contact to confirm whether you have been blocked. If you are just blocked you’d still see both. If you are just deleted you’d still see the picture. But no picture and number? Well, you’d have been deleted and blocked.

7 Check by Another Friend’s Phone

Sometimes you can ask for help from a mutual friend. You can also see the mood message last used by the person who has blocked you, but you cannot see the moods they enter after blocking you. You can check his/her mood message from a mutual friend’s phone. If it is different with the one on your phone, then you are blocked.

8 Check by Doing a Complete Clean to Skype

You can also find out the answer by the following steps. It maybe a little complicated but it works 100%.

Sign out of Skype on your computer.

Find the Skype file located in the appdata which is in the directory on your computer: OS ( C: )/ users/ Your User Name/appdata/Roaming/.

Copy that Skype file to your desktop as a backup.

Once done copying, delete the Skype file in OS ( C: )/ users/ Your User Name/appdata/Roaming/.

Sign back into Skype you and have done a complete clean.

Look for the suspects with missing photos, if those photos were missing already but you can see their contact list they are safe.

Check the profiles to find the online status circle below the star, if it says “this person has not shared his/her contact info with you” that means you been blocked by that person.
